Dear Colleagues,

We are looking forward to the third International Meeting on Skeletal Endocrinology, which will be held at the University of Brescia, Italy, on March 27^th, 2009.
The success of previous meetings, including the one held at the University of Brescia in March 2007, and the interest of the scientific board led us to have this 3^rd meeting.
Its aim is to allow and facilitate cross talk among experts from all over the world conducting cutting edge research on hormonal action in bone.
The meeting promises an exciting exchange of basic and clinical science among investigators featuring novel insights in the pathogenesis and pathophisiology of osteoporosis as well as re-evaluation of anabolic and antiresorptive treatment of the disease including new potential therapeutic tools.
Further novelty of the program is the inclusion of the large number of free communications and posters and the creation of an "Hot Topic" session based on late breaking abstracts.
The venue of the meeting is the University of Brescia where active research is conducted at the Osteoporosis Center. We look forward to a superb meeting in Brescia!
